Renault partners with Wandercraft
Renault Group finalises a strategic partnership with Wandercraft, a leader in next generation robotics
Renault Group has sealed a strategic partnership with Wandercraft, the French leader in AI‑enabled exoskeletons and mobile robots. The agreement combines a minority equity investment from Renault with a joint development program aimed at creating a new family of robots, code‑named Calvin, that will first be deployed on Renault’s own production lines.
By pairing Renault’s deep industrial know‑how and design‑to‑cost expertise with Wandercraft’s cutting‑edge self‑balancing technology, the collaboration seeks to scale up both exoskeletons and robots, reduce unit costs, and free workers from painful, non‑ergonomic tasks. The initial focus on Calvin will improve ergonomics on the factory floor, shorten cycle times and boost overall productivity. In a later phase the partners will industrialize Wandercraft’s next‑generation exoskeleton, Eve, opening new business opportunities across manufacturing, health‑care and home‑care.
This move will enable both Renault and Wandercraft to develop and build high‑impact, low‑cost robotics that improve everyday lives, whether helping individuals with mobility challenges or supporting industrial workers.
