Maestro Official Launch on July 3rd, 2026
Join the official launch of the Maestro Consortium to take place at the Inria Paris Centre. A full day to meet the team, hear from founding industrial members, and see what open-source robotics infrastructure looks like in practice.
Following Inria’s endorsement earlier this year, the Maestro Consortium is moving from preparation to action. On Friday, July 3rd, 2026, we are hosting the official launch event at the Inria Paris Centre (48 rue Barrault, 75013 Paris), a founding moment that brings together the industrial partners, academic researchers, and institutional supporters who will shape the consortium’s future. The event will also serve as a gathering point for the French robotics and AI research community, reinforcing the connections between the laboratories, institutions, and engineers working on the shared challenges of modern robotics.
The day is structured around two complementary halves.
The morning sets the scene: why Inria is investing in open-source robotics infrastructure, where the Willow team’s research is heading, what founding industrial members see as the critical challenges in physical AI, and how open-source collaboration has already delivered measurable impact.
The afternoon zooms into the science and the craft. It starts with the national robotics and AI research landscape — public programmes, cross-institutional dynamics, and strategic priorities — then moves to the latest research from the Willow team and the engineering work that turns it into production-ready software.
