Bpifrance Opens the Second round of its 'Pioneers of AI' Open Call

Bpifrance’s ‘Pioneers of AI’ Opens a New round

Bpifrance has launched the second round of its Pionniers de l’Intelligence Artificielle programme, a flagship initiative designed to identify and accelerate France’s most ambitious AI-driven deep tech projects — from early-stage research through to industrial deployment and company creation.

The program targets projects that combine genuine scientific originality with credible pathways to economic and societal impact. It operates across three successive phases, accompanying selected teams from the consolidation of their technology through to the structuring of a commercial entity, with funding, coaching, and institutional support at each stage. Particular attention is given to projects that address structural challenges — sovereignty, sustainability, competitiveness — and that demonstrate the potential to shape entire industrial sectors rather than serve a single application.

The call is open to research teams and emerging companies working at the frontier of AI, including those developing foundational infrastructure, tools, or platforms with broad reuse potential across the economy.

The deadline for the second round is March 10th, 2026.
